Uchiha Itachi, a character marked by complex labels. He is Sasuke’s brother, also a “renegade” from the Leaf Village. His formidable power, which strikes terror into people’s hearts, is deeply engraved in the minds of his family and the younger generation, turning his name into a deep shadow. His actions, especially the kills of the Uchiha clan, left him branded in people’s hearts as a “ruthless butcher”.

What makes Itachi so unique?

Itachi

Power of the Sharingan: Among the many formidable ninjas in “Naruto”, Itachi’s abilities stand apart. He masters the Sharingan, an ability exclusive to the Uchiha clan, and furthers it to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan. His prowess in these ocular abilities, along with his understanding of ninjutsu, surpasses his clan members. His illusionary power is unrivalled, even Sasuke who has a strong resistance to illusion fails to resist it. Not to mention his well-honed swordsmanship and taijutsu skills.

Emotional Depth: Itachi’s personality is complex and full of depth. He can make great sacrifices to protect the Leaf Village and his younger brother, including betraying his family and killing them. This resolve and sacrificial spirit reflect the pain deep within him and his yearning for peace. He cannot bear to see his family’s ambition leading them down a path of self-destruction, nor can he accept the Leaf Village getting involved in a larger war due to this internal conflict. Itachi’s painful internal struggle and intricate emotions make him the most profound character in “Naruto”.

Selfless Sacrifice: Itachi’s willingness to sacrifice himself to achieve his goals also demonstrates his uniqueness. He is well aware of the consequences of his actions, knowing that he cannot absolve himself from past mistakes, yet he chose to embark on this path without hesitation. He is willing to accept societal misunderstanding and even increase his isolation. His sacrifice represents his deep desire for peace and his commitment to his own values. This endurance and devoted spirit make Itachi stand out among many formidable characters in “Naruto”.

Itachi Uchiha’s Potential

  • At 7 years old: From an early age, Itachi demonstrated keen perception and insight that later enabled him to awaken the Sharingan, signifying his great potential to become a formidable ninja.
  • At 13 years old: In the most difficult times, Itachi experienced the tragedy of the Uchiha Clan Massacre. During this period, he awakened his Sharingan, exhibiting his unique potential. At that time, he started to carry out his plan for revenge, brutally killing his own clan, leaving his brother Sasuke alive.
  • Around 16 years old: Itachi was considered one of the strongest in the Leaf Village, his Sharingan abilities developed to the point where he can use Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. His impressive accomplishment demonstrates his high combat potential and chakra control ability.
  • At 20 years old: He successfully joined the “Anbu” and performed well in numerous missions afterward. This proved that he not only possessed formidable strength but also had excellent intelligence and strategic planning skills.

Uchiha Itachi’s illness weakened his strength

Itachi Uchiha did indeed suffer from a severe disease that was not clearly stated. Its most direct impact was to weaken his physical strength and fighting ability. It was said that Itachi’s illness drained his stamina to the point where he could not continue fighting in his final battle with his brother Uchiha Sasuke.

How strong would Itachi Uchiha be if he were completely recovered?

Assuming Itachi were to fully recover, his strength would reach a new height. He could fully master and use his Sharingan abilities, even reaching the level of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and would not lose his vision. In such a case, he would unlock the dormant power of fire known as “Amaterasu”, in addition, he could unleash strong eye techniques he had never shown before, including Tsukuyomi, Susanoo, Mirror, and Totsuka Blade.

Referred to by some as the “strongest sage”, Itachi, unburdened by illness, would undoubtedly display wisdom and strength on a new level. He would surpass all existing ninjas and redefine the limits of power. His achievements may even surpass all the Kages, becoming the true “Shadow of Shadows”.
